Clube Humbria in Olhos D'Agua was built with get-away-from-it-all holidays in mind. This hotel in Portugal offers a welcoming atmosphere and a plenitude of on-site facilities for all the family. The pool area is the star attraction during the daytime. The water's edge is lined with spacious sunbed filled terraces, perfect for lazy days soaking up the sunshine. Splashing times are on the cards for the children with a pint-sized pool close at hand to enjoy. The beach is within walking distance if you prefer to feel the sand between your toes or paddle in the waves.
The animation team keep things moving activity-wise with schedule of sports and games. The children get a look in too with their own kid's club and playground on-site. The apartments are clustered around the pool area. They each come with all the facilities you need to rustle up a snack. Air-conditioning, a satellite TV and seating area add to the modern feel. A well fitted bathroom and a furnished terrace or balcony complete the picture.
When you feel peckish, the on-site eateries offer plenty to satisfy your hunger pangs. The main restaurant serves dishes from around the world buffet style, with show cooking on the menu for dinner. No need to move too far from your sunbed for refreshments, there's a pool bar close by. The impressive line up of evening entertainment brings your day to a close, with live music, shows, fun and games for all the family on stage. The Clube Humbria has all the facilities you would expect from a hotel in Portugal. Highlights include: A large outdoor swimming pool with sun terraces, sunbeds and parasols, children's pool, restaurant, two bars, mini-market, internet connection, kid's club, playground, 24 hour reception and animation team.
Room Facilities
This Algarve hotel has a total of 193 modern one bedroom apartments. All apartments feature a fully-equipped kitchen, bathroom, lounge, air conditioning, satellite TV, telephone, hairdryer, laundry service and safety deposit box to rent.
The main restaurant serves buffet style meals for breakfast, lunch and dinner, with show cooking in the evening. The Pool Bar serves hamburgers, sandwiches, pizza slices, fruit and a selection of hot and cold beverages. The Lounge Bar offers a full menu of drinks. The Melody Entertainment Bar is open from 5.30pm to 11pm for cocktails, beers, spirits and soft drinks. The animation team host the evening entertainment with live music, shows, fun and games.
The Clube Humbria is located in the Olhos D'Agua area of Albufeira, 800m from the beach. Faro Airport is approximately 31kms from the hotel.
Excellent 3* Plus All Inclusive Family Resort
I stayed here on a family holiday with my two children aged 10 and 7 years. After a friendly welcome and check in, we walked through the pretty gardens to our one-bedroom apartment, perfect space when you have a family. Set in blocks around a freeform pool, it was only three floors high and we were on the top floor. Spotless apartment with a twin bedded room and two single sofa beds in the lounge, fully equipped with air conditioning.
There were ample sunbeds around the pool and garden areas, with a large pool and a separate children’s pool. The smoothly run pool bar served all inclusive drinks, burger and chips, hotdogs, sandwiches and ice creams, all of which were lovely. The restaurant was fantastic for breakfast, lunch and dinner and I have never had such great hotel food for the star rating, all of which was hot! There was always a choice. I liked the fact you were seated to your table as oppose to a free for all. This meant that they didn’t sit you right next to people and if they did, those people were nearly finished. It felt relaxing.
The entertainment area and bar were also great, with a variety of non alcoholic and alcoholic drinks. I travelled in half term and there weren’t queues at the bar. All of the staff were friendly and efficient. Not too much in the way of entertainment, only a couple of acts twice a week, but there was kids entertainment every night. The hotel run kids club was open from June to September, unfortunately my children didn’t attend.
The hotel had a wonderful feel about it, perfectly situated in a quiet area. The resort itself was quiet with a dozen or so restaurant/bars and cobbled streets, the hotel is approximately ten minutes walk downhill to the town and beach. When the tide was out you can walk around the rock pools to further beach coves. Beautiful scenery and great for walking the coastal routes. The resort was about four miles from Albufeira at a taxi cost of approximately 10 euros each way, well worth going to the old town.
All in all, probably the best holiday and all inclusive hotel/apartments we have stayed in, we would definitely return. Beautifully kept, welcoming and great food, in a nice quiet resort.
