The Hotel Intertur Hawaii Mallorca is located in a hillside position on the Torrenova headland area of Palma Nova. Son Matias Beach is 50m away and Palma Airport is approximately 22kms from the hotel.
Amazing 4* Hotel
I stayed here in October in a party of 4 adults and 1 child. The hotel had just been completely renovated and upgraded to a 4* property. The rooms were massive, always cleaned daily and had a modern décor. I would recommend paying the extra for the sea view over Son Matias, as it had some lovely views.
Some people knock this hotel for the food, but when I was there for the full week I never had one problem and I'm a fussy eater. There was a different choice every day and with something for everyone. The food ranged from salads, seafood, meats, pizzas, curries etc and had a Chinese and Mexican theme behind them. We stayed on an All Inclusive basis, so never really got the feel for the prices for drinks as we were all inclusive, but there were some lovely restaurants just down from the hotel
The hotel was classed as being in Palma Nova, but it was right at the Torrenova headland. If you walk straight on from the hotel, you do end up at the top of Magaluf strip. We couldn't hear any noise at night, as it was far enough out the way. As long as you walk along the Son Matias beach, you will end up in Palma Nova. Magaluf was lovely during the day, with a really nice beach area and it can be a lot quieter. So you can get access to two resorts dead easily. We also visited Katmandu, which was a fun day out for my little brother, I would definitely recommend!
The entertainment in this hotel was good, ranging from live singing acts and parrot shows etc, but we found ourselves going out to a few bars in the area. The staff were all lovely at the hotel and you cannot fault them. The only thing I can mention about the hotel was that the pool was ready for a renovation, as that's the only thing they haven't done, but there was loads of space and plenty of sunbeds around.
All in all I loved this hotel and would definitely recommend this hotel to everyone, especially couples and families. Although it might not be suitable for people with walking difficulties, due to the steep hill!
