If you're looking for fun in the sun with a cold drink in hand, stay at Tropicana Beach Hotel. This welcoming, family-run place has a party atmosphere and plenty of things to do on-site. The huge swimming pool is designed to mirror the beauty and size of the neighbouring Mediterranean. Luckily, the well-stocked pool-bar makes for a perfect shady break. Just at the front, there's a private beach to soak up more rays and the area is brimful of activities, including billiards, volleyball and table tennis.
The hotel's very own open-air restaurant, bustling bars and indoor dining area all have long menus of mouthwatering meals, scrumptious snacks and delicious drinks. You can also get room service, if you fancied a private bite overlooking the glistening sea. Each airy and spacious apartment here comes with a terrace or balcony for a sociable nightcap. The in-room kitchen is perfect for rustling up a light bite or keeping a few drinks chilled, make sure you use the hotel's mini-market to stock up.

This is a fun-focused hotel with a constant friendly atmosphere. Not only that, but there's a huge range of on-site facilities to keep you entertained all day long. Built in direct competition against the beautiful Gumbet Bay, Tropicana Beach Hotel has a large swimming pool that's surrounded by parasols, sun beds and a children's pool. Spot on for a lazy day. You can also play darts, pool, table tennis and beach volley, or hop in the outdoor Jacuzzi.
The hotel has both indoor and outdoor restaurants, poolside bar, snack bar, breakfast hall and mini market for all your catering needs. Services include: 24-hour room service, 24-hour security, dry cleaning, laundry, baby sitting, and concierge. You can also exchange your cash, use the post box and connect to the Wi-Fi in in the lobby.
Ask at reception about the hotel's canoe, parasailing, banana-boating, water skiing and jet-skiing facilities too!

Tropicana Beach Hotel has 20 apartment rooms, 20 studios and 8 hotel rooms. Every room has a terrace or balcony, air conditioning, television, hair dryer and extra bed. You also conveniently get a kitchenette, which includes a fridge and kettle, and there's a shower in your private bathroom.
Food, drink & entertainment
If you're all about refreshing drinks and tasty treats, Tropicana Beach Hotel is the place for you. The bar here serves up a fantastic range of chilled cocktails, cold beers and spirited spirits, just waiting to be enjoyed by the pool. As for the food menu; the hotel's dedicated and hard-working chef truly caters for everyone.
Choose from a full English or full Turkish breakfast, or treat yourself to a cheese, bacon, mixed or mushroom omelette instead. Have a different sandwich every day for lunch while sunning on the loungers. But evening meals offer an even tougher selection to pick from. Chicken kebabs, spaghetti bolognese, Hawaiian pizzas and mixed grills are just a few, but you also have a range of starters and heaps of desserts to try too.
Whether it's traditionally Turkish, marvellously Mediterranean or a home-cooked favourite, this restaurant's designed to please all guests. Particularly good while listening to the sea and watching the sunset.
Location
Tropicana Beach Hotel is found in Gumbet Bay, around ten minutes from central Bodrum. Bodrum International Airport sits only 35km away and the beach is within walking distance of the hotel. Have a different sandwich every day of your stay for lunch while sunning on the loungers.
Excellent hotel all round
This hotel is fantastic. I went here for a girls holiday, but there were lots of families staying here too.
The reason this hotel was so great is because of the service. The staff couldn't do enough for you! I remember when I was sitting in the restaurant for breakfast, I was craving a peach but they didn't have any. I forgot about it, but then half an hour later a staff member came me with a peach! He'd gone to the supermarket for it. I just thought this was absolutely fantastic.
The food at the hotel is great too, as is the entertainment. There was always something different on every single night and all of the staff members got involved.
The location of the hotel is fabulous. Just a two-second walk away from the beach, as well as a five to ten-minute walk away from restaurants and little shops. There's also Bar Street, which is about a 10 to 15-minute walk away, or can get a two-minute taxi. So you can still get away from it all, if you want a change.
I'd recommend going to Bitez Beach, which is only a 20-minute taxi-ride, as the beach outside the hotel doesn't have much going on. However, we only went once due to the pool at the hotel being enough for us.
Can't fault this hotel, I'd recommend it to everyone. Great value for money!
