Gozo holidays can be as relaxing or active as you wish. There are several mustsee sights on the island, including the spectacular Ggantija Temples, said to be older than Egypts Pyramids. Elsewhere, pretty Calypso Cave is said to be where Ulysses was kept as a slave in Homers Odyssey. Away from all that history, youll find stunning beaches to relax on, including the orangehued Ramla Bay. Theres also plenty of shopping to be done, with plenty of local crafts for sale. The dive sites around Gozo are said to be among the best in the Med, making this a great base if youre looking to see some marine life.
Holidays in Gozo tend to be relaxed affairs: think unwinding by picturesque harbours, or enjoying a drink or two at a pavement cafe. In Xagrha and Victoria, youll find a good choice of charming bars, whilst Marsalforn and Xlendi have a smattering of seafront establishments with outdoor terraces. Gozos certainly not somewhere to come if youre looking for nonstop partying. That said, there are a couple of clubs in Victoria. For a magical experience, in the summer months, head to La Grotta; its a disco in a cave.
