The Hyde Park Apartments are tucked away in a quiet garden setting in Playa de los Pocillos. These Lanzarote apartments offer up a plenitude of facilities for all the family. The swimming pool scene is the real crowdpleaser. There are two separate pool areas, each lined with spacious sun terraces and featuring a separate children's pool. Playa de Pocillos Beach is within walking distance for sandcastles and paddling in the waves.
If you want to up the tempo, challenge you partner to a game of paddle tennis or tennis. Summertime brings a mini club and childfriendly entertainment for the kids and there's also a funfilled playground. The spacious guest accommodation is scattered in low level white washed buildings around the gardens. Each comes with all the facilities you need to self cater, including a wellequipped kitchenette and an outdoor barbecue area for al fresco dining. A lounge area, modern bathroom and private balcony or terrace complete the picture. The onsite supermarket is stocked with all your daily essentials.
On the food front, the main restaurant serves tasty buffet dishes for breakfast and dinner, with a la carte options available. Property facilities
The Hyde Park Lane Apartments have all the facilities you would expect from Lanzarote holidays. Highlights include: Two outdoor swimming pools for adults with solarium and sunbeds, wheelchair lift at the pool, two children's pools, restaurant, snack bar supermarket, playground, slot machines, billiards, spa, massage, laundry, animation programme in July and August, miniclub in July and August, internet connection, four paddle tennis courts, a tennis court and a 24 hour reception with luggage room, coin operated computers and free WiFi internet access.
Room facilities
These Lanzarote apartments have a total of 220 modern guest units, consisting of eight two bedroom apartments, ten studios, 198 one bedroom apartments and four apartments adapted for disabled use. The one bedroom apartments feature a bedroom with two single beds and a ceiling fan, bathroom, lounge with sofa bed, kitchenette with microwave, fridge, coffee maker, two ceramic rings, toaster and kettle, barbecue and a balcony or terrace.
Food, drink & entertainment
The main Restaurant Hyde Park Lane serves buffet style meals for breakfast, lunch and dinner. The snack bar is open for light bites, combination platters, cocktails and beverages. The entertainment programme offers live music several nights per week.
Location
The Hyde Park Lane Apartments are located 500m from Los Pocillos Beach in Playa de los Pocillos on Lanzarote. Puerto del Carmen is 2kms away and Lanzarote Airport is approximately 8kms distance.
Ideal Location
I stayed here a few years ago with family. It was a lovely little complex of bungalows, all with there own terrace area looking out on to the gardens. The bungalows were clean but basic and had everything you needed for a self catering accommodation. You can't fault the cleanliness, maids were in every day cleaning. All the staff were very friendly and always there to offer their help if needed.
In a really ideal location, the bungalows themselves were situated in the Playa de los Pocillos area, just between Matagorda and Puerto del Carmen. Only a fifteen minute walk away from Puerto del Carmen itself and only twenty minute walk along the promenade to Matagorda.
Pool area was massive! There were always spare sun loungers as well, so you never had to go out early in a morning to put your towel on the bed to reserve them.
I would return to and recommend these bungalows.
