Tucked away at the heart of Playa de Las Americas are the popular Parque de la Paz Apartments. This great value complex is a favourite choice for family self catering and all inclusive Tenerife holidays. A plenitude of facilities await onsite with something for all ages to enjoy. The sunny pool area is the star attraction during the daytime. The water's edge is lined with spacious sunbedfilled terraces, the perfect spot to work on your tan. The surrounding palm trees and gardens offer plenty of shady spots to chillout with a book. Splashing times are on the menu for the children, they have their own pool alongside. If you prefer to feel the sand between your toes, you're in luck; there are two stunning beaches within easy walking distance.
On top of all this, there is a games room with a pool table, table tennis, table football and playstations. Keeping your friends up to date with your holiday adventures is easy, with WiFi and internet connection available too. The children also get a look in on the activity front, the playground and mini club offer fun and games for tots to preteens. The spacious apartments and studios come with all the facilities to selfcater. Each features a fullyfitted kitchen area, perfect to rustle up a cooked breakfast or snack. A satellite TV, modern bathroom, a lounge area and furnished balcony complete the picture.
If cooking doesn't feature in your holiday plans, the onsite eateries offer a great selection of dining options to satisfy any hunger pangs. The main restaurant serves buffet style meals and there is a barbecue restaurant for snacks, drinks and buffets for allinclusive guests. The weekly barbecue night is a favourite with guests. Property facilities
The Parque de la Paz Apartments have all the facilities you would expect from apartments in Tenerife. Highlights include: A large outdoor swimming pool with sun terraces, sunbeds and parasols, children's pool, gardens, buffet restaurant, all inclusive barbecue restaurant, bar, pool bar, spacious lounges, kid's club, playground, 24 hour reception, parking, games area with table tennis, billiards, table football, playstation, internet and WiFi. The complex also offers good facilities for elderly or handicapped persons, with ramps, easy access on the ground floor and specially adapted apartments.
Room facilities
The complex has a total of 221 modern guest units, consisting of studios, one and two bedroom and duplex apartments. The one bedroom apartments feature glass terrace doors, a kitchen with oven, coffeemaker, fridge, toaster and waterheater, bedroom with two beds, satellite TV, two sofa beds, bathroom with shower and a bathtub, and a balcony or terrace with a garden, telephone and safety deposit box to rent.
Food, drink & entertainment
The main Parque La Paz restaurant serves buffet style meals for breakfast and dinner, with local and international dishes, themed nights and show cooking on the menu. The Barbecue Restaurant is poolside for snacks, drinks and a lunch buffet for all inclusive guests. This restaurant also hosts a weekly barbecue night with meat, chicken and sausages served from the grill. The Pool Bar and 9th Par Hole Bar are fully stocked with a great selection of hot and cold beverages.
All inclusive holidays at these apartments in Tenerife include: Buffet style breakfast, lunch and dinner, soft drinks, local alcoholic drinks and snacks.
Location
The Parque de la Paz Apartments is located in the heart of Playa de las Americas, 250 metres from Playa Las Vistas and Playa Troya beaches. Reina Sofia Airport is approximately 17kms from the apartments.
Good Girls Holiday Hotel
The hotel was everything we needed for a girls holiday. The location was ideal; we weren't right in the centre of the night life, which we preferred, but it was easily walkable. A taxi to Veronicas was only about three Euros, which was nothing if there are four of you in a taxi. It was also only a five minute walk to the beach, which was surrounded by your typical tourist shops and supermarkets.
The hotel itself was clean and the apartments well equipped, although possibly in need of updating. It did seem that, while we were there, they were beginning to update the public areas, such as reception and the bathrooms, so the apartments may be next on the list. The pool area was cramped and there was always a mad dash for sun beds as soon as the gate was opened each morning.
We stayed All Inclusive and, although we probably did get good value for money doing this. If I went again, I would probably just go self catering, as I didn’t believe the food was great. Although it was all fresh and well cooked, there wasn’t a great deal of choice. The drinks were good, although you were limited to one drink at a time if you wanted spirits or cocktails, but lager, wine, sangria and soft drinks were all on tap, meaning you could help yourself.
Overall, I would go back to the hotel again for a girls holiday, but for couples and families, I would probably look at something else.
