The next island is Islamorada, known for its world-class sport fishing off the reefs along its shoreline. Marathon marks the midway point of the Keys and is full of relaxing holiday resorts. Big Pine Key and the Lower Florida Keys are as laid back as it gets. Finally there’s Key West with its beautiful beaches and sunsets and its downtown area is the place to dance the night away. For families, the Upper and Lower Keys are the places to head with lots of water sports and activities to enjoy. For couples or groups, head further south to Key West. Holidays in the Florida Keys really do have something for everyone and make an excellent chill-out destination after a time in the state’s theme parks.
